The Vermont Bald Eagle Restoration Initiative includes half a dozen partners, each of them critical to the project's success. From funding, vision and technical expertise to project development and educational experience, these six individuals and organizations have worked together to make the project a reality.
National Wildlife Federation
Northeast Natural Resource Center
The Northeast Natural Resource Center's wildlife recovery program involves a series of place and science-based projects that focus on the recovery of keystone species in the Northern Forest. NWF works in partnership with local and regional organizations and relies strongly on help from volunteers and citizen scientists. Besides the eagle project, other current programs include the restoration of the eastern timber wolf, recovery of peregrine falcons in Vermont, and the recovery of the Karner blue butterfly in New Hampshire.
