History: Monument Farms Dairy was started by Richard and Marjory James in 1930.  Currently, the business is owned and operated by Peter James, Bob James and Jon Rooney, all of whom are third generation owners, as well as Millicent Rooney (second generation).  Several fourth generation family members currently work in the business.  Monument Farms currently employs 36 people and has been the recipient of numerous conservation awards recognizing their efforts in caring for their lands and waters.

Cows: 500 milking

Production: The Monument Farms Three Gen digester and 155 kw generator went online in mid-September of 2011 and is projected to generate nearly 750,000 kwh of electricity annually as well as bedding for their three cow facilities.
