The Gervais Family Farm came online and was producing electricity on February 27, 2009.
Location: Bakersfield, Vermont
History: Owned by Robert and Gisele Gervais, and their sons Charles Sr., Larry, Paul and Clement, the farm was originally purchased in 1960. The original farm consisted of 200 acres and 35 milking cows. Over the years the farm has grown considerably along with the family. Robert & Gisele have 15 children, 11 boys and four girls. In 1972, Robert and Gisele built the original double six herring bone parlor and free stall barn, with approximately 110 free stalls. It was one of the first in Franklin County. The original farm now consists of over 2,500 acres and 1,900 cows, heifers and calves.

Production: The farm is expected to produce about 780,000 kilowatt-hours annually.
