Chittenden Reservoir Day

Celebrating its 100th year, Chittenden Reservoir is one of Vermont’s most unspoiled water resources, attracting thousands of people each year for year-round outdoor recreational opportunities. Boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking, swimming and snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are a few of the activities enjoyed at and near the reservoir. Visitors are also treated to a fantastic variety of wildlife, including bald eagles and nesting loons, among many species.

Chittenden Reservoir Day celebrates the ongoing harmony between man and nature in this idyllic location by cleaning up the areas surrounding the reservoir and providing a fun atmosphere for attendees, including hot dogs, boat tours of the reservoir and free t-shirts for participants.
